Montreal is a perfect city for a walking tour--fairly compact and shows different eras and influences within a few blocks. The tours are done in English or French and begin at Notre Dame basilica. Our guide was wonderfully knowledgeable and interesting. I can't imagine getting the same sense of history from a self-guided tour. This was worth the $20 or... more

This walking tour was a great way to learn about the history of Montreal and identify sites where I wanted to spend more time while in the city. This walking tour was excellent!! One of the best I've been on in any city. I think this was actually the highlight of Montreal. They even gave you a coupon for the Pointe-a-Calliere museum.
