We decided to take the ferry across he St. Lawrence after watching it go back and forth from the terrace wall next to the Chateau Frontenac. We were walking down to the lower part of town anyway and buying the ticket and boarding the ferry were easy. The view from the river was quite spectacular, especially with the Chateau domineering... more

It was a dream crossing the river on the ferry with all the ice around and the view of Quebec at night with the illumination. Great, the children in the group where overwhelmed and us too. more

The owner of our Inn, told us it was a must.. It was not a lie! At night take the ferry and do not exit on the other side of the river. Forty minutes on the water and the nicest view of the illuminations and fortifications of the city . The Chateau Frontenac was like a castle on the cape.... more
