We made the short walk from the airport up to the museum and were disappointed to learn that you need an appointment to enter from Oct. to April. It looked very interesting and we enjoyed seeing the outside displays. We'll know better next time! More

Outside exhibits included earth moving equipment, DC3 aeroplane, shunting train locomotive, and the birth of containerisation for the Skagway - Whites Pass narrow gauge line which was later extended to Whitehorse. The Yukon Transportation Museum has an exhibition for the next two months being held at the Arts Underground on Main Street. It has interactive iPads and iPods with maps, videos, documentation and audio commentary. Well worth checking our for persons interested in history and transportation. More
