Walking the old cement paths and peeping into cottages that are fully restored is an educational as well as pleasant way to spend an afternoon. The gardens and ponds are lovingly maintained. Sit on the steps of the mansions and relive the early 1900's. Daily tours and summer events make this one of Tahoe's best attractions. Right on the shore... more

Beautiful Pine forrest by the lake. Great bike trails and some some interesting vintage architecture. This is worth a visit. Easy trails and far from the road. more
