This is a typical Dutch spa, but better. Typical, because everyone is completely nude, but no one cares, and it is not a sexual experience. The spa is beautiful, with manner saunas, Jaccuzzi-type pools, salt baths, swimming pools, water falls, infra-red saunas and many more, both indoor and outdoor. Resting and eating facilities as well. But it is hard to... More

So when I first became acquainted with the European spa/sauna-world culture, two names kept coming up again and again; Therme Erding (near Munich) and Elysium (near Rotterdam). Took us a while to get to Elysium, but we finally made the trek last month which has elicited this admittedly somewhat mixed review. The place is big. In fact, Despite the fact... More

If you are looking for a place to relax and to have a good time- go somewhere else. I have been all over the world to very good Spas and this is certainly none of these. note: we went on the bath clothing day there. first the good parts: - free parking - many different saunas and now the negativ... It's not too cheap, often crowded (especially on the parking), but offers pleany of possibility to relax: different kinds of saunas, massage (better book in advance - Lomi Lomi fully recommended), swimming pool, jaccuzzi and restaurants. More

For my 40th my close friends decided to pool in and booked a half day at the spa whilst visiting my friend in rotterdam! i only got to know about it a couple of hours before so I didn't have time to check about it. It was in little words a culture shock: I had never been to a 'nude'... More

This is an amazing place. Unfortunately I only had 3 hrs to spend here. Definitely on my list next time I go to Rotterdam. The salt pool where you can float is nice.. brings out the kid in you. More

We arrived a bit late (1/2 hour) for a day programme. After that it went all wrong, we missed our tour. Couldn't get another. Therefore missed our free drinks, we mentioned this on paying but still they didn't refund. Service was slow and sometimes non existent. Bar staff even admitted that they were too busy chatting to each other and... More

If you're ever in Rotterdam, be sure to add a full day to devote to Elysium. It is a very relaxing spa/sauna with plenty of attractions to keep you busy. There are both large and small pools (indoor/outdoor) and saunas with multiple levels of openness and varying temperatures. My wife and I did not order any services (massage, pedicure, etc.),... We arrived first thing in the morning and spent most of the day there. We only booked one treatment - the mud rasul which rather than being a relaxing, romantic treatment was very funny. Imaging being in a room of six giggling naked dutch women who were all just having a good time. More
