We started up the trail, but wimped out and cut over to the service road. It was my introduction to hiking, and got me hooked. Washroom at the trail head was clean. More

Looking for a family hike with a bit of a challenge? This could be it. The guide book said for more scenery take the more difficult trail...they were right. Not too difficult or too far, this is a great walk for everyone as you are given a choice of routes to the lakes. We enjoyed walking from the parking lot all the way up the climber's trail, and found it well suited to our group of varied fitness levels. More

There are two routes - one an easy, steady climb on a cleared service road and the other a more interesting and varied path with rock and wood steps that were made by some of the early miners/explorers in the valley.
