There is a mystery built in. Not just the practical question of where the ball will land, but how will you ever return to urban golf after a magical mountain golfing experience like the one at Silvertip. Designed by world renowned architect Les Furber, the course plays from an approachable 5,089 yards to an awesome championship 7,173 yards, with over 600 feet of elevation change, making it the single most breathtaking mountain course in the world for literally any level of play. « less

I'm a scratch golfer and I've played tons of courses in my day. I found the layout of silver tip to be a joke. The first hole offers a 5 iron tee shot to a blind wedge approach to the green. Thats not an openning hole of a quality golf course. The views are great, but after you finish every... more

For the positives... the views were consistently gorgeous, as virtually every hole (and even the driving range) almost demanded a photo. Likewise, the course attendants were pleasantly helpful. For the negatives... the "cart path only" rule was in effect, meaning constant 40-50 yard treks, over huge inclines, to the ball. On a relatively flat course, not a problem. But here,... more

I have a hard time believing the reviews this course is getting. I've played it 4 times (but only paid once), and I wouldn't come close to rating this place as a good, or even reasonable value. I play 60+ rounds a year at public access courses in the Calgary area (and have played pretty much all of them, as... more

I love this course. In the height of the summer the sun stays out until past 9PM which makes the twilight rate (starts at 3PM) a very nice option. Spectacular views make this the best course in the area. Definitely the one to pick over Stewart Creek or Banff Springs if pressed for time. more

Well if you want to golf a course with a veiw, try Silver tip. This course offers both incredible scenery and exceptional golf. I played while on vacation with my wife in July of 2007. The course was nice enough to allow her to ride along and enjoy the beauty while I enjoyed that and the challange of the course.... more

Pretty exciting golf course! Beautiful views, great condition, big elevation changes. A little tough on some of the tricked up holes, especially #1, but overall an excellent experience and a good value. I've played Ko'olau in Hawaii, the toughest North America course, and this was no where near as difficult. I really loved some of these holes but there we... more

Did not realize that Sivertip was not reviewed. One of the top 2 beautiful golf courses I ever played. Was there on August 3, 2007. Played Silver Tip, Stewart Creek, and Banff Springs courses twice each over 4 days. Silver Tip and Stewart Creek were mountain courses with dramatic elevation changes, sidehill lies, and Dramatically beautiful vistas on every hole.... more
