Visited this just to climb the Chief and it was well worth it. Tiring climb coupled with some interesting chain link sections, but amazing views at the top made it all worthwhile. More

If you are new to the area and need a place to sleep in your vehicle where you won't be disturbed, the parking lot of this park is the place. Lots of rock people set up tents or stay in vans to save bucks here. The forest walks are good here but bring water, good shoes and clothing for the... More

If you can rent a car from Vancouver, it's totally worth it to do this! It's about $80 to rent a compact car from downtown (Thrifty on Seymour St). The drive is about 90 minutes or less, and it's a straight shot north so you can't get lost. The hike up is not for the faint-heart. It took us about... More

There is parking at the trailhead as well as restrooms and a small camping area. Try to check conditions before you come. We went in March... More

After a somewhat grueling 70 minute hike up the mountain, we saw what makes BC so amazing: the landscape views from the summit were amazing. Great rewarding excersise! More

Almost 600 metres of ascent in under 1.5km requires quite an effort to get to the top, but you are rewarded with truly stunning 360 degree panoramic views. The trail itself is very well marked and maintained. More

This was a challenging hike for my boyfriend and I, because we do not hike regularly, and have never hiked anything this difficult. We hiked in March, and the rain was nice to keep us cool. However, the snow, slush and wind at the peak made the hike quite dangerous. For those who would like to hike in March, I... More
