The actual ride was wonderful. The guides were friendly and helpful. The horses were well trained and gentle. I would not call this a beginners course as you rode through creeks and steep hills, but I enjoyed the terain. However the road to get to the trail ride was not maintained very well as it was very rough and ended...

Global Outdoor Travel offers daily trail rides from St Mary River Lodge (Marysville) and Wild Rose Ranch (Wasa). St Mary River Lodge rides are mountain trail rides, Wild Rose rides are ranch rides. Both offer amazing vistas, pristine rivers and creeks, and safety and fun on the best mountain horses in the Kootenays! Each week during the summer we also offer an evening dinner ride. Other tours offered include fly fishing, pack trips, and photo safaris.
