GBL offer a variety of cruises but we were time poor and did the one hour cruise leaving Ivy Lea at 0830hrs as we thought it would be less busy than the 2-4 hour trips, so we checked out of Hill Island Resort bright and early and drove the ten minutes or so down to Ivy Lea. How amazed were... More

Affordable way to see the Islands. A great way to keep the kids busy. I recommend taking the Ivy Lea cruise if you want to see Boldt Castle. More

Although the weather was grey, which is very disappointing for a photographer like me, we very much enjoyed the "Lost Ships of the 1000 Islands Cruise". Amazing how on even the smallest islands luxury houses have been built over decades. And Boldt Castle of course is exceptional More

We took the 5 hour cruise and very much enjoyed it. View and commentary on houses and structures along the seaway was very interesting, would have been nice if it was a little louder on the outside deck. There was a 2 hour stopover at Boldt Castle which requires you to have passport to leave the dock area. It was... More

Ganaoque Boat Line is well worth the cost of the ticket. Informative narration as you view the island homes. Some are stunners, some very ordinary. Boldt Castle is unbelievable, and the back story is very sad......There are over a 1000 islands and no other way to see them but by boat ride. More

We thoroughly enjoyed our one hour trip around the 1000 islands. The trip is good value for money and the boat is big enough to allay any fears with lots of outside and inside seating. Unfortunately the commentary can hardly be heard when you are outside on the upper deck and they really need to do something about that. There are... More

We went as a group of 2 couples for the purpose of the dinner/dancing cruise on a Saturday evening. From start to finish the experience was amazing and we had a wonderful time. The prime rib meal that we received upon boarding was delicious, hot, and well prepared/presented in a buffet style. We were also lucky to witness a beautiful... More

We took the 2.5 hr tour which includes a circumnavigation of Heart Island (the Boldt Castle), but no disembarkation on the island. The boat was maybe two thirds full with lots of tourists (we heard continental French, Italian, German, Dutch and Spanish being spoken). We thoroughly enjoyed the outing and highly recommend the tour. -- 13F More

One of us had done a previous tour of the 1000 Islands from Kingston and had disliked it. This tour came recommended by a friend, and was well worth it. We did the 1hour tour and it was just enough, to get a good sense of the 1000 Islands, as we've cottaged in Brockville and camped at Sandbanks but this... More
