The literal translation of Takakkaw is 'That's amazing' and it really is an amazing sight. There are a couple of other sights of interest along the way such as spiral tunnel and a river confluence. There is a very steep switchback along the way which RVs have to revers up at one point so be prepared. More

We went here in July 2010. The falls are pretty magnificent but we actually only came to this area to hike the Iceline Trail. Once you are up above tree line, the view of the falls is amazing. Would recommend! More

The falls look amazing and there is an easy walk to the base - although the falls can be seen for miles.
