I visited again when the "Discovery" was delivered for exhibit. I always enjoy walking around this museum as the visitor is around, over, and under the exhibits. Some can spend all day but set a time limit agreeable for a group (min. 2 hrs.)and come back again and again. Many visitors completely miss the multiple levels of the tower and... More

Its been quite a while since I was at the Smithsonian. Definitely must go again it is the best for an idiot like myself who drools whenever he sees an airplane. Tip: If you are like me, leave wife and kids elsewhere unless they're of the same persuasion. More

Parking's not cheap here ($15), but the museum is absolutely worth the time. Imax, great exhibits, and don't miss the air traffic control tower, where you can listen in to adjacent Dulles airport traffic and see the planes come and go. As with any museum, your best experience is to get in on a tour with one of the docents. More

Our family visited the Hazy center over our spring break. If you are really into flight and the history of flight, then you will absolutely love this place. While none of us is particularly a plane expert, we still enjoyed the day and were awed by the sheer size of this place. Imagine a building that houses a Concorde AND... More

I attended the NASA Social event for the arrival of the NASA space shuttle Discovery. This was my second time visiting this Smithsonian air and space museum. The place is a one-of-a-kind attraction--in fact, definitely worth a listing on one's "bucket list". The assortment of planes (including the awesome gull wing Corsair suspended from the ceiling like many other aircraft... More

What an incredible attraction! The recent addition of the space shuttle Discovery only made it better. Although about 40 minutes outside of DC, it is certainly worth the drive. I would highly recommend this museum to all, even those that aren't ordinarily interested in aircraft. We went with my boys scout troop and all enjoyed it equally. More

I went to see the shuttle Discovery a few days after it arrived at the Smithsonian, and it was amazing. The whole museum was phenomenal, and I just loved it. I am 23, and I went with two of my girlfriends, we had a great time, and were really blown away by everything. It was neat when we were there... More

I've been to the Air & Space Museum many times and am excited each time. I take all kinds of visitors form smalll children to seniors in their 90's. Everyone enjoyed the visit. A tresure trove of air and space artifacts - from the early 1900's to the present. Ride simulators; go up in the air traffic control tower to... More

This is my favourite museum. In a beautiful building/hangar all kinds of planes are displayed. My absolute favourites were the Enterprise Spaceshuttle and the concorde. This museum is so much better than the Air & Space museum at the Mall in Washington DC. More

The Wright Brothers would be in utter amazement! What an absolutely wonderful place to be amazed at the wonders of aviation! Well worth the drive out, definitely worth the $15 to park. What else does the Smithsonian have stored away? From small, old planes, to the Concorde(which I thought was bigger that it was) and to the space shuttle, a... More
