Parking's not cheap here ($15), but the museum is absolutely worth the time. Imax, great exhibits, and don't miss the air traffic control tower, where you can listen in to adjacent Dulles airport traffic and see the planes come and go. What an incredible attraction! The recent addition of the space shuttle Discovery only made it better. Although about 40 minutes outside of DC, it is certainly worth the drive. I would highly recommend this museum to all, even those that aren't ordinarily interested in aircraft. We went with my boys scout troop and all enjoyed it equally. More

This is my favourite museum. In a beautiful building/hangar all kinds of planes are displayed. My absolute favourites were the Enterprise Spaceshuttle and the concorde. This museum is so much better than the Air & Space museum at the Mall in Washington DC. More
