My 12 year old son and I experienced a half-day tour with five fantastic, strong, loveable, huskies over March Break. Our guides, Moses and Ben were professional, knowledgeable and experienced and they together with our dog team, lead by Miss Jane, took us on a spectacular journey through the breathtaking forests of Haliburton. I "drove" the team for the full... More

As part of my life "Bucket List" I have always wanted to go dog sledding. After visiting the Winterdance website, I knew these were the folks to make it happen. Right from the time of booking, it was clear that this company was professional and passionate about what they do. I booked our 1/2 day trip over the phone with... More

I picked Winterdance to go dog-sledding as when checking their website you can tell that they really care about the dogs. We went for a 1/2 day tour and as we arrived early we got to see Hank hooking up the team and heading off for an overnighter for training for the Iditarod. It was an amazing sight to see... More

Dog Sledding is somehow quintessentially a Canadian experience, and one you should try if you are in the location and don't mind the cost. Winterdance are a well run operation, and the owners also race professionally, so some of your dogs might be as mental and raring to go as ours were! We took a half day tour in the... More

This was our first time for a dogsled tour and it won't be our last. We just went with the 2 hour tour because we didn't know what to expect. We arrived there a little early because it is quite a drive in and wanted to make sure we were on time. They arrived shortly after and were very friendly.... More

I went with my girlfriend for a half day morning tour. Access to the trail head was simple. The weather was not spectacular but it doesn't really need to be to enjoy the tour. The staff were knowledgeable and considerate, they taught us everything we needed to know and kept a constant eye on us throughout, giving advice and ensuring... More

My boyfriend and I went on a 1/2 day Dogsled tour and had never been dog sledding before. The directions on the website were easy to follow and don't forget to arrive about 15 minutes early to sign waiver forms. There is also an outhouse there, for people that worry about bathrooms :) Moses was our tour guide and he... More

Nadas. Am now in Canada, contacted them via email and nothing still.. Booked with another company who replied immediately. Sorry Winterrdance, reply to requests next... More

I have visited Winterdance twice (Feb 2010 and Mar 2011)and taken 1/2 day morning trips. The first time was with my husband and the second with our daughter and 2 grand children. Both trips have been absolutely fantastic and I am longing to do the whole day trip sometime soon. Everything is very well organised. The handlers are very professional,... More
