The things I want from a museum are intrinsically interesting exhibits, a good layout, a recognition that the present is at least as interesting as the past, and things to do as well as see.

The Basque Railway Museum in Azpeitia exhibits a fine and well-presented collection of steam, diesel and electric locomotives, tramways, trolleybuses and wagons of all kinds. Steam trains also run over a few kilometres of track at weekends.
