This is a must see! Absolutely Gorgeous! What vision Mrs. Butchart had! She took an ugly stone quarry and turned it into a show place. Eat lunch or have high tea in the gardens. More

I don't care what they say over in England. The Butchart Gardens are the most beautiful gardens in the world. The Gardens in May and June have a the most gorgeous combinations of tulips and forget-me nots. If you go back again in July and August you will see the most spectacular rose collection in the world. I've seen the... More

I have visited many gardens, but this was awe-inspiring! Treat yourself to high tea after wandering around the various parts of the gardens. Could have spent more time there! More

Originally a quarry for the Butchart family business, Mrs. Butchart began creating a garden for her personal enjoyment. Eventually, the garden grew to become gardens, as portions of the quarry were exhausted. And, visitors began coming because they heard what their neighbor had created. Now 50 gardeners tend to it, create seasonal themed areas, and they offer water and firework... More

This beautiful place is a must-see for anyone traveling to Victoria. The gardens are pristine and perfect, and their beauty can only truly be enjoyed in person. Very pleasant atmosphere for strolling, and seeing some of the most beautiful flowers and plants anywhere. Well stocked gift shop and coffee/snack facilities. More

I found out that you are allowed (even encouraged) to walk your dog around the gardens. They will rent leashes, they staff gave my dog a treat, and all water is labled if it is not drinkable. The dog specific water is not stagnant and runs fresh. The tourists will sometimes take photos if they like your dog. They will... More

Buy an annual pass and go as often as you can! Ride every animal on the merry go round. Have a peppermint hot chocolate in the snow in the winter and enjoy the 12 days of Christmas. It's world class and a real delight. More
