This was our third trip to Normandy and had visited the museum in 2010. Knowing it was re-done recently, we made a point to visit again. What a great job! One of the highlights in Normandy and there are many.

You need minimum 2hrs to visit and when in one day one must do the whole US sector of the beaches, then you cannot do it. Only when you have a 2 day-tour.
Great area dedicated to father of David Dewhurst/Lt Gov. Of Texas who was a generous donator. His dad was a pilot who flew over Utah on D-Day.

Still being constructed. Go to the beach, see the 800 yards troops had to cross to get to the sand dunes. Really makes you appreciate the heroism of everyone involved.

It is a great museum with a big variety of memories, from the tanks outside to simple letters of soldiers.
I went on a rainy day, not the best option to view everything outside, but still it was a very good visit.

We were only going to Utah Beach and...

Great museum features vehicles and equipment used in the D-Day and follow-on operations. It also incorporates personal stories - even a love letter an admiral wrote to his wife just before the invasion. Allow a few hours to explore. We got here towards the end of the day and did not have enough time. The museum is bigger than it...
