If you like history you'll love this, compared to modern ships the comfort here scores minus! The bunks were so narrow, only suitable for the lithest! Beautifully restored it pays to go underneath the ship to realise it's size. More

It was great that you got to walk underneath the boat and could see the hull and then walk through the museum and then onto the boat and able to walk all around the boat. You get listening devices on the boat for free. I had a 9 and 13 year old girls and they had a great time. More

This old ship is brilliantly displayed. There is so much to see both on and around the ship, and in the locality, that the three hours we had allotted where quite insufficient. But that is also good news because there is still much for us to see when we return soon. And fortunately our tickets allow to return any time... More

A great way to spend a couple of hours with the kids, and even fascinating to those who have studied history and are knowledgeable about the conditions at sea in the 19th century. Really well done; even the actor playing Isembard Kingdom Brunel added to the occasion rather than spoiling the effect. My chief take-aways: how could they fit 700... More

A really comprehensive and engaging museum, in which you can go under the water and see for yourself what a poor state the hull is in; then go round the museum which is full of all sorts of memorabilia related to the salvaging of the ship and its various incarnations; and finally you get to go round the ship itself.... I was truly amazed by the effort and attention to detail on the ship. We paid about £35 for a family of 4 expecting it to fill about an hour. We were there about 3 hours. There is the dry dock, detailed museum, dock area and the ship itself. Once on the ship there is an amazing amount to explore... More
