Good range of historical items for a small museum and entry is free. Interesting maps and models of surrounding areas over the centuries. The house is set in lovely open grounds with many walks both on tarmac paths and 'off road'. Playground and small tea room/snack bar nearby and plenty of free parking so you could make an afternoon of... More

The Blaise Castle Estate and Museum is a free attraction run by Bristol City Council. Its location in Henbury is convenient for the M5 motorway and for local bus routes from Bristol City Centre. The grounds are extensive and will appeal to walkers particularly those with dogs. There is a free car park, play areas for children and plenty of... More

Blaise Castle and Hamlet ( a short walk away ) personify English country living as it was. Now however it caters for all ages with two lovely playgrounds, both well equipped and great areas to play ball games, fly kites and picnic. For the walkers there's plenty to explore in the surrounding woods as well as the original castle tower.... More

We did this on our way home. We were there about 2hrs. The parking is free which is unheard of in the UK. We walked up hill to the "Castle" and were surprised how small it was. It took about 20 mins to walk up. They have a fantastic playground for the kids. You could have a picnic. Recommend getting... More

Out for a walk on a sunday, park at the bottom , walk up, waltz round the house. Is the grounds that make the place special, horse riding around the estate is a must, the museum is informative if a little lack lustre. More
