I found this to be really interesting. I enjoyed learning about how they lived and how much work it took to run the place during that era. Very cool. More

The Georgian House is an 18th century, six storey townhouse that has been restored and decorated to its original glory. This was my second visit and just as enjoyable. The guides who were there on Saturday could not have more helpful, along with the written information sheet handed out on our arrival. More

This house has been beautifully restored with appropriate furniture. The basement which includes a cold plunge bath, fully equipped kitchen, pantry ,washroom, housekeepers room is fascinating. This house was owned by a wealthy slave owner and provides a valuable insight into the history of Bristol More

A nice, if unusual little museum that depicts period features, the bedrooms, drawing rooms, and servants quarters of a Georgian manor home of a former sugarcane plantation owner who brought his money back to Bristol. More

This is a lovely old house and seems to be faithfully restored and displayed although I am still learning about Georgian houses since buying one a few years ago. The is metered parking nearby and you could also visit Cabot Tower as its up the hill at the end of the same road. More

This is a rare gem - a genuine piece of history, including a cold plunge bath in the basement, period furniture throughout. the house was owned by a family that owned slaves on Nevis, so there is information on this specific story, well told. Helpful staff More

This excellent attraction is free, but contribution are gratefully accepted, and why not, it's certainly worth it! What must be accepted right from the start, is that the Georgian owners made their money to build this house from Slavery, please don't forget this. Having said that, this is a unique insight into Bristol Georgian life, right down to the furniture... More

This Georgian house is very nicely presented and I could imagine characters from Jane Austen stepping into the rooms and taking their places around the fire or at the tables. 'Below stairs' is really interesting too - as well as the kitchen, laundry, pantry, and house-keeper's room, there is a plunge bath which is like a small pool or very... More
