What a farce, we ordered a simple quiche and panini at the cafe in the garden centre. After payment we waited, then waited, waited some more and then after 1 hour had to leave. Why? We went as couple for a birthday day out and thoroughly enjoyed it. We booked at the restaurant at the manor and had the 'Rothschild menu'. This is £25 pp for 3 courses and no choice but the quality, originalty and portions were good. We had a quiet spot in the wood panelled restaurant. Then the house and its treaures... more
After having eaten their so called food at inflated prices I cannot recommend other people do the same. I feel unhappy and overcharged. more
Waddesdon Manor is a fantastic place to spend a day. We took a picnic as the weather was fine but there was plenty of options different types of places to eat (if you are happy to spend your money). A day out at Waddesdon is wonderful, and if you have good weather, so much the better. The gardens are breathtaking, and the planting superb.
