The folks here all have a passion for the station and the exhibition areas and of course the steam trains. Wonderfull experience for those that have never been for a ride on a steam train. try to visit when one of the many special events are on. Good cafe for food and drinks,

The centre is great but the ride on the Thomas Santa train very disappointing. Even my three year old grandson kept asking why are we going backwards again?

Very disjointed site, some good bits if the trains are running - but the ride is basically a couple of hundred metres and back.
If Tomas the tank is in - then lil kids love it - otherwise its not great for couples and teens hated it - strange exhibits like the collection of railway chippings from around the country....
