Was very cold on entry,the meal was a pre booked festive dinner,starter of scrumpy pear was just all spinach&walnuts,hardly any pear,& certainly didn't taste scrumpy,main coarse were small& the duck was so tiny,sweets were slightly better.even thou they served a ice cream in a cereal bowl!!all in all a let down. The Five Bells is a chain pub but doesn't look like it, which is great. The drinks are well kept and reasonably priced. Very prompt service. Food was fine and reasonable value as you would expect from the Vintage Inns offering. The Accommodation is basic but acceptable, clean with everything you need to have a comfortable nights stay. Friendly staff, good food, clean accommodation. More
