The Five Bells is a chain pub but doesn't look like it, which is great. The drinks are well kept and reasonably priced. What lets it down is the service in the restaurant, which is so slow that it's a joke. Last time we visited, I ended up ordering the food at the bar, since we had waited 25 minutes... More

Stayed for 2 nights on a Daily Mail special offer. Mega cheap deal! We wanted somewhere easy distance from Pinewood Studios but not near to the M25. Small clean and comfortable room with small functional bathroom, quiet, looking over car park at rear of hotel. Plenty of ambience in quaint pub and obviously a popular venue, bustling in the evening... More

Very prompt service. Food was fine and reasonable value as you would expect from the Vintage Inns offering. The Accommodation is basic but acceptable, clean with everything you need to have a comfortable nights stay. Friendly staff, good food, clean accommodation. More

We were booked for three nights but due to refurbishment starting, we only stayed for two. Nathan, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful and arranged a transfer to alternate accomodation for our last night. He and his wife have just taken over and I am sure they will do well, all their staff are helpful and friendly. The bedroom... More

We stayed over a Saturday night, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, no problems except for a dodgy door lock. We booked a table for dinner and were told "you're over there in the green section" whatever that meant. After sitting at a table for 15 minutes and being ignored, we enquired and were told food orders... More

We stayed at the 5 Bells in May 2010 and found it welcoming and friendly. Three nights with breakfast and we also chose to eat in every night in the restaurant. This seems to be a popular eating out place. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and a decent size, and the only complaint was... More
