We visited Angelsey Abbey yesterday - a beautiful sunny day abit chilly. We were amazed at how many people were there, it was packed so be warned if you intend on going at a weekend it will be even worse. Anglesey Abbey has a fantastic collection of snowdrops. Apparently because of hybridization there are strains here found nowhere else. When I visited the gardens two years ago we could wonder around the mature plantings accessed across open lawns, wonderful. This year they have opened new areas of the garden that are set out as narrow paths through planted beds. These... more
