Clean, tidy, and a nice place to relax and enjoy the country. Not recommended for young children, as there are lots of un-guarded banks, leading into large, deep rivers. More

The winter garden walk is one of our favourites - especially on a crisp, sunny winter's day. When the Dahlias are in bloom, they are spectacular. More

The house was shut, the walk was OK but there weren't many snowdrops - best off going to Ickworth. More

This rather beautiful house is a fascinating mix of 1920s Kitsch (plenty of hunting pictures and imported wood pannelling) and architectural features from earlier centuries of which the vaulted dining room is a fascinating example. The gardens are quite beautiful, with perfectly kept manicured individual areas and some wilder natural expanses of woodland, great for exploring with children. The Lode... More

House, gardens and mill are wonderful, the National Trust house staff are surprisingly friendly compared to other property visited. Tea rooms also good busy and under staffed but prices were reasonable for a change. We had a special voucher allowing free entry but the cost for a couple is far beyond the adverage person and family so you can only... More

Have visited twice now in Autumn and Spring. Great place for leisurely walks and picnic. Lots of variety - from formal tree lined avenues with statues and planted gardens to natural wooded areas with interesting willow structures, minibeast habitats and a treehouse (under construction) that children will love. Lots of people there when we visited (if car park anything to... More

Very Interesting house with fascinating collection of clocks and artwork. The Library is one of the best I've seen in any Country house. The Gardens are enchanting especially the miniature tulips in the beechwood and the blue and white hyacinths. One of the finest NT properties I've visited. More
