Victor Hugo's house is fascinating. Just go to see it and be amazed. We didn't know that it is guided tours only so it is better to ring or call in before to book your time. The guided tour is very interesting and informative. A must-see in St Peter Port More

Truly amazing. Well worth the money and the climb up the hill to get there! Victor Hugo was a fascinating character and so is his house, almost to the pointn of being unbelievable. Our tour guide was also good fun with his Franglais! More

This is th most amazing house! You would never guess from the outside the fantastic rooms within. The staff are friendly and very well informed and the hour long tour was the high point of my visit to the island. More

This is amazing place. It has been so well kept by the City of Paris and the guides are experts who give a real insight to Hugo's life when on Guernsey. Even if you're not a Hugo fan, the house and its story will still fascinate. More

A bit dark and forbidding on entry but a truly delightful experience. The enthusiastic french guide was informative and helpful (though a little scarey too). Totally over the top decor by Victor Hugo makes this an amazing place to visit. So many quirky features and stories related by "madam" Very French; just a pity that my camera had a flash... More

If you don't see anything else, you must visit this home of Victor Hugo. You can't believe it until you see it. Like something out of Alice in Wonderland! His imagination was on hyper-drive and it is great fun to see what all he came up with. More

This is a very interesting tour even if you previously knew nothing about Victor Hugo. You do need to book though if you want to look around, do ring them beforehand to book on one of the guided tours. Would recommend. More

Absolutely brillant. You will discover Victor Hugo as you never had before. His house is a masterpiece. His imagination in decorating is out of this world. The view from the house onto the sea takes back to Victor Hugo's days, to the days when he wrote Les Miserables. The garden is also well worth visiting. More
