We found the Screech Owl Sanctuary by accident. Took our 11 year old daughter who loved the whole experience. The weather was bad, intermittent rain and high winds (which meant that none of the owls would be flying. However, we were treated to what felt like a personal 'one-to-one' close encounter experience. All the handlers had a wealth of knowledge... More

Visited Screech Owl Sanctuary with our 11 year old daughter. What a find. Friendly staff who do a wonderful job and clearly adore their "family" of owls. A very knowledgable chap called Mark gave a falconry presentation during which the visitors were allowed to hold an owl if they wished. Lovely area to walik around viewing the owls, meerkats, Alpacasa,... More

Decided to go here for a morning because it was close to where we were staying and we constantly make the Alan Partridge "Owl Sanctuary" Reference. I certainly wouldn't describe myself as an Owl lover but this turned out to be our favourite day out in the Week. Paid £9 for each adult (so £18 total) but feel we got... More

This place is now on my top place to visit. So many different types of Owl to see and the displays and meet and greet get you up close so you can stroke some of them and get a good photo to boot. My little boy enjoyed it so much we adopted a barn owl called Fluffy. More

First I have to say the weather was good, wouldnt be very good on a wet day as nothing is undercover. When i went they had just got a few more animals ie the emu's donkeys and alpacas. The staff are brilliant very informative, they do a talk and feeding session at each animals enclosure it's never to much bother... More

As a bird and wildlife enthusiast , I love this place . So close to the A30 but you forget it is there . When they do their flying displays , the birds are not pre. programmed , but are totally free . If the birds can't be bothered then the staff just have to do a lot of talking... More

My husband and I have recently returned from an amazing visit to the Screech Owl Sanctuary and we absolutely loved it - what a fantastic day out! We'd booked the full day Flying Experience, which was everything we'd hoped for and more. Everyone at the Sanctuary was friendly and helpful, and Jamie (our expert guide for the day) went out... We went here whilst on holiday in Cornwall and my feelings were that the whole place was poorly maintained and the owl’s aviaries were far too small for some of them. The price they charge is ridiculous, and you'd like to think that if they charge you a lot of money that the place would be better quality. Do not... More
