I visited here in early February. They only have tours in the Winter during Tuesday and Friday and only at 11AM and 2PM depending on the weather. St Michael's Mount is well worth the visit. We took the boat across to the island for a nominal charge and it was really good fun. The castle is at the top of a lot of steps but don't let that put you off. The views are stunning from the top and the exhibitions in the castle are very interesting.... more

We walked across the causeway but didn't fancy paying the £6 to go in the castle, as it looked very crowded. The little island is very nice though and the dock is pretty. At £6 to get in, it's worth every penny. It takes about 10 minutes to walk across the causeway from Marazion to the castle.
