When we come to Cornwall we always stay on the North Coast. Polzeath is always a place we come and visit. Its great to park the car on the beach, and sit and watch the world go by, whatever the weather. When the tide is our its great to walk the dog and he just loves the rock pools. Just... More

The beach at Polzeath is quintessentially North Cornish charm at its best and a surfers paradise to boot. Can't really say a bad thing about it. If you're camping hotelling, B&B'ing or just passing through stop off and get a wetsuit, grab a board and dive in. I've seen cheaper campsites than Tristram next to the beach but for facilities... I have been coming to Polzeath for 33 years and in time I have brought my children and grandchildren here. It is the one place I can really relax, I know what is around the next corner. The scenery is stunning and the beach is safe and the waves are usually wonderful. There is plenty of room on the beach... More

Have only visited this beach to surf, it's a great place to surf and it's always busy on the beach. It's clean and well marked for surfers and swimmers and life guards on duty. Good amenities though bring cash as some of the places don't take card (surf hire etc) and the cash point charges. More

A big open beach. Some surf. Lots of parking. Some shops for beach accessories, snacks and board and suit hire. At least a couple of big camp sites. Although the problem has been significantly overcome this beach has a national reputation for being caught up in confrontations between local police and posh largely public school kids over from opulent holiday... Stayed at Valley Caran Park for 4 nights, just wish it could have been longer. The campsite is just a short walk from the beach and the caravans are equipped with everything required for a relaxing holiday. The owner of the site, Martin is a lovely family man and nothing is too much trouble for him. It is a family... More

Polzeath is an awesome place to spend time. If you are a surfing/body boarding beginner it is a great place to learn the basics and improve. Surfs Up surf school have a HQ just off the beach and provide fantastic lessons for all levels (they get very busy in the summer months though so book in advance). The instructors are... More
