I visited Heligan with my husband who is not interested in gardening but thoroughly enjoyed himself. Wear good walking shoes and be prepared for plenty of exploring if you want to get the best experience. Initially the gardens appear like any other garden open to the public but venture on and you will be transported back a 100 years and... more

I am sure that these gardens are lovely and from reviews I have read sound really great place to visit but we never made it past the entrance as just felt prices were really high. We went about a week ago whilst on holiday in Cornwall but decided that £50 for a family ticket for my partner and I and... more

This is a truly wonderful place. An edwardian garden that feels like the world 100 years ago is within reach. And a few minutes walk away a Jungle that feels like the world before humans arrived, This is one of the best gardens to visit, Excellent use of the land and visitor friendly. A garden shop that appeals and offers... more

We visited the gardens on our trip to Cornwall in April 2009 and we weren't disappointed. Even my husband enjoyed our day at Heligan, and he has never even shown the slightest interest in even the local garden centre! It did help that the weather was beautiful on the day we choose to go along. We spent just over 3... more

Apart from cafe and the shop rest of the place gave the impression of being closed- disappointing given the full entrance fee. High points The Giants head sculpture and the Bird hide were we stayed for the best part of an hour watching... more

As you will see from the photos i have uploaded it is a fantastic day out. There is such a variety of plants, trees and flowers in each section. The estate is split into several sections i.e. the woodland, jungle areas and then the more formal gardens, veg gardens, italian garden. Plus there is a wildlife project, so you may... more

visited Heligan Garden April 6th 2007. This garden is rated Great Garden of Cornwall and is very vast and with a wide variety of plants and flowers. When I visited it, both the flower and the fruit garden weren't in bloom but in spite of that there was a lot to see and explore. My favorite part was the jungle... more
