We had a week away in Devon and Cornwall and came across Cornish Day Sailing on an internet search so booked it up and looked forward to the day. It certainly didn’t disappoint. Great safety briefing, good company and skipper Andy and Meghan were great hosts. It was as hands on as you wanted it to be so we all got stuck in and helped crew the boat! Lunch was amazing to include the mackerel we caught whilst sailing. I would highly recommend this full day out to anyone.

Together with nine of my family members, we had the privilege to spend a day on skipper Andy’s yacht, Olympus. We sailed around Falmouth bay from Falmouth to the Helford estuary and then back home. Our party was made up of four adults, four boys aged 11-13 and one 5 month old baby!
From the moment we climbed aboard, Andy, with the help of first mate Megan, made sure that we were comfortable. As we went through the thorough safety briefing we were offered coffee and tea before we set sail. The boys took turns to help sail by either manning the helm, doing the winch or putting up the sails and both Andy and Megan gave them great instruction. For lunch we moored in a sheltered cove at the mouth of the Helford River, where most of us jumped in for a swim before eating a delicious goument ‘deli’ lunch (prepared by Andy, who is also a chef). More swimming after lunch before setting sail to go home. We were lucky that the conditions were ideal for sailing and it was a brilliant way to spend a day whilst also relaxing too. Once we arrived back in Falmouth, just to round things off we were severed a generous Cornish cream tea too!
All in all a great way to spend quality time with the family where you could do as much or as little as you pleased, being taken care of by a very hospitable skipper and his mate!
Would give six stars if I could.

Andy was a perfect host for the day. We were celebrating a birthday with family and friends and it was a brilliant day. The weather was challenging when we set out but it just didn’t matter. It was such good fun, and when the weather improved it was perfect. The food was great and everything was well organised. Safety was always put first, but never impacted on the enjoyment of the day. Thank you Andy - if we could give you 6 stars we would! 😍

Nine members of the family had a great day out with Andy and Meaghan who were were both very professional and showed great attention to detail Andy had us all in stitches as well as answering everybodies questions about sailing and he and Meaghan did a great job making sure we had a good trip. We all got a chance to steer the boat and help with the rigging. The food was fantastic (especially lunch). I highly recommend a trip with Cornish day sailing.

The wife and I are visiting family in Cornwall and were asked if we would like to go to Cornish Day Sailing once more. We both of course said yes! We went out today with skipper Andy and his new assistant Megan both of whom were friendly, polite, knowledgeable and great fun. The weather has finally turned sunny today which made sailing around Falmouth even more beautiful - the view of Pendennis castle in the morning was stunning.
I've said a lot about how good this company is in my previous review, so I'll just add the following. If you are like me you probably have a few friends who fancy themselves sailors - Andy is the **real** deal and has amazing stories. Megan is new but she's already been around the world twice so knows plenty and then some. They still make amazing food. There's even rum in the coffee to give you a little flavour of the sailing life without the hard work or experience.
I'm rating this 5 stars, but really this lot deserve far more than that. Go and see for yourselves.

A great day with Skipper Andy and crew Meghan on board yacht Olympus. A welcome opportunity to sail in beautiful weather conditions with good company and excellent food. Everyone was given the chance to partipate in helming etc, or simply relax on board and enjoy the experience. All this made even better by taking part in the Golden Globe 2018 parade of sail in Falmouth harbour - such a privilege! What a fantastic day had by all!

We booked a trip on the Olympus. Sailing with was Andy and Meghan who were very friendly and professional. We were well taken care of from the email communications to the actual sailing.
I would definitely recommend this trip if you are in the area. Best to check and book early. I must also mention the food, it was absolutely delicious and was a good bonus!!
Thanks Andy, Meghan and Freyja :)

We had a brilliant day with Andy. We were are very mixed group - some very keen and some not so sure. He was happy to adapt the day to suit our needs. By the end, everyone agreed that this was a trip highlight. Andy is endlessly adaptable to the needs of a group - a skilled sailor, an excellent chef, and an entertaining raconteur. Highly recommended.
