Went in and listened to Capt Jack Calico talk about cornish pirates, his interaction with his audience was very good and actually made the tour for us. A good hour spent.

Had a great time here, doesn't look amazing from the outside but fab inside. Our guide "captain jack" was funny, informative and quite possibly mad!!! Found out loads about the smuggling and pirate history of Newquay but the staff made the experience for me.

This is situated in the old tunnels of time building. Funnily enough, the road signs still refer to the tunnels even though it is now Buccaneer Bay. The tours take place every 45 minutes and we missed the first slot and had to come back later. The pirate who showed us around was very good in the role and made... More

A bit of a laugh, but not really value for money. If you have young children and cannot enter the "scary bit", there is nothing to do but stand and wait in a bare corridor.

We visited with our 6 year old son who is keen on pirates & Merlin, so this ticked those boxes. The actors are fairly good, and believable to children, whilst some interesting stories and facts were told (I now know a little fact about pirates eye-patches I didn't before). I was fairly engaged throughout, and liked that much of the... More

We went to buccaneer bay for an afternoon. I went with my mum, dad, younger sister (16) and my husband. When we got there, the front of buccaneer bay looks the part. It looks exciting and inviting. Once inside there is a small gift shop and a desk to pay. When we went we had 15 minutes till our tour so we... More

Went to Buccaneer Bay recently with my family ages from 7 to 64 and we all really enjoyed it, found out lots of interesting facts as well as having fun! Its not a day trip but if you've got some spare time it's well worth a visit.

Very friendly warm wlecome at the entrance followed by the introduction by a local Pirate f rom times gone by who takes you on a journey through time. A very amusing and entertaining theatrical adventure, scary at times.

Visited here while on holiday in June, had been before when it was Tunnels Through Time, so thought would give it a go with it having a re-vamp. Some of the displays are the same as before but there are also some new stuff in there as well. We didn't have to wait long to get in and where in... More
