A return visit after many years away, and nicely presented. Good show on now, go & see it. More

I could not believe that it is now £6.50 to get into the Tate in St Ives and even with my student card it was still £3.50. And then to find that we had paid to see an exhibition which was both naive (and not in the artistic sense) and self-important made us feel doubly cheated. But the highlight of... More

If you are a fan of Simon Fujiwara, then I suppose this could have been an interesting visit. We went with an open mind, however, ALL of the exhibition space was dedicated to Mr Fujiwara's work. If you get lucky and visit when an artist you enjoy is exhibiting then I suppose your experience might be totally different. Giving all... More

Currently, an Alex Katz exhibit. Was not familiar with this artist, but he was influenced by Rothko amongst others. I loved his work. Unfortunately, cards and postcards of this exhibit had not yet arrived. The cafe on the top floor gives a panoramic stunning view of harbor. Cornish plate was very good with lots of different wonderful flavors. Good wine... More

Our party of four was disappointed to arrive at Tate St Ives to find that we had come between exhibitions and that all the galleries were closed. We were able to see Patrick Heron's stained glass window - well worth seeing. We enjoyed the well stocked art shop and spent some time browsing there. Had lunch in the cafe with... More

No exhibitions when we visited but still looked around. Cafe in a wonderful position with lovely balcony. Iced tea very good. Staff in cafe and around gallery a little surly. Could be improved. Gentleman on Reception at the entrance more friendly than everyone else. More

Depending on when you visit will affect the experience you have. After numerous visits, more have been disappointing than inspiring. However, worth a punt, you may be luckyq and with all art, the fact that it divides opinion shows that Tate St Ives are fulfilling the brief in prompting discussion from all visitors. More
