We booked through Carbis Bay Holidays and our house Morvah was fantastic, perfectly situated near the beach and train station also walk able distance to St Ives especially along the coast road. It's a beautiful place to stay with lots of places do see, a visit to Tregenna hotel is worth it as the view down to St Ives is... More

I prefer staying in Carbis Bay, rather than St. Ives (st. I). Although there is limited restaurant appeal, it's an easy hop into st.I. The train takes 5 minutes and the coastal walk is just magnificent. Carbis bay is not for those who like a lot of action, but for those who prefer a more serene peaceful setting overlooking the... The beach was almost deserted after a spell of bad weather, and the steps down to the beach from the east side had become a fast torrent of water, but it was nice to hit the beach after a long walk along the cliffs...and the icecream at the sands cafe above the beach was so good. More

We stayed at a B and B here for 2 nights and found we missed being closer to town. It's too far to walk. Our first night in St. Ives we stayed in an Inn within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops. There is really only 1 pub/restaurant in Carbis Bay. There is a train into St.... More

Very British - 5 miles of outstanding sand with one little cafe on it. As unspoilt as it gets. At Easter we shared it with about 4 families and 3 little dogs! I'm nearly 50 and it made me want to run about like a kid with a big smile on my face. More
