Not the most obvious place for a beach day, but when the tide is out, the water is almost like a lagoon as it's very sheltered. You can only access the cave at low tide but it's worth timing your visit so you can reach it. It goes right through the Island and out the other side. More

It is a free visit, so go for it. The cave goes from one side of the island to the other, really nice. The place was very crowded during the Easter hollidays More

Part of the Tintagel castle site more than a stand alone site. Can be a tad slippy on the rocks in the cave and only accesible when low tide. More

For students of Arthurian legend and those with a real desire to delve fully into Arthuriania, it's great. Otherwise, the site is generally not very exciting. Not good for children, who may tend to wander, as the cliffs may be perilous. Lovely birds that the locals call "wind hovers" abound. Cold blue-green water and lots of stairs. More

A great experience. You can read or see TV depictions but seeing it is brilliant. More
