There are several routes up to England's highest peak. If you can read a map you should maybe try to take the more scenic route up to the pike via Moses Trod and the Corridor Route, which takes longer then the normal route, but is less busy and provides a fantastic landscape. Maybe even try to take the descend back... More

Having climbed the mountain over the weekend with friends I can say that it's hard but it's well worth it. We had a really good time and the views are amazing. More

Scafell Pike is the tallest mountain in England, and I began my ascent from the farm at Seathwaite. Seathwaite and the surrounding area has the largest rainfall in England, and although it was not raining when I arrived, it clearly had tipped it down as the roads and paths could be mistaken for streams. Our hike began at a farm in Seathwaite (Borrowdale); parking is free but it does get rather busy. There are toilets at the farm if you want to go before the long hike but they're a bit smelly! We were a group of 25-35 year olds with varying levels of fitness and we had a great guide who led us... More

Walked this with 8 friends starting off from Seathwaite farm... weather was damp with low cloud. We had booked and planned back in January so nothing we could do at all. There had been a lot of rain over the previous days and this had made just the start of the walk from farm to Stockey Bridge like a stream... More

Scafell Pike is 3,281ft and is England"s highest mountain, the distance is approximately 6 miles and it takes 5 hours to walk. From the car park turn left and walk along the road you will... More
