What a great place to spend an afternoon for both locals and visitors to Exeter whether young or old. There should be another word to describe the RAMM rather than a 'museum'. That conjures up images of dated and damp smelling buildings with rather tired exhibits. This museum is refreshingly bright and spacious with relevant displays that entertain as well... More

Nothing to like. It was very poor! Food bad, service worse and no atmosphere at all. Bring back the old RAMM tea rooms!! More

That was the first time that I have visited Exeter's museum since when I first arrived here few years ago was closed for renovations. The place looks nice with different items inside. The only problem is that it looks bit disorganised since there are bits and pieces all over the place. Other that these is worth checking it out More

Not been there before and really enjoyed seeing all the exhibits but found the layout confusing. More

It is good to see the Royal Albert Memorial re-opened after a long period of closure for extension, re-display and work to stabilise the hill slope behind the building More

Absolutly worth a visit, excllent now it is been modernised but still has that Old Fashioned touch. The children love it, again as an adult it is nice to have alook with out the children, no matter what age it is still an education. Coffee/Tea shop for a stop in between looking. Excellent for a rainy day when on hols. More

Thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely ramble through the newly opened museum- I thought the timeline through Exeter's history was excellent, especially the section on the Romans. Very glad to find Gerald the Giraffe still on display (was a bit worried that he might not be there). I noticed lots of activities for children and will definitely be coming back with my... More

Still on the fence about the new vamped place. Great it's open again, however it was closed for so long (5 years) that it's now off many people's to do list. So much money spent, apart from major structure not sure what on, cafe ok but lacking in atmosphere......fantastic to see the old pickled sea creatures are still around. More

I didn't even know Exeter had a museum so this was such a great find. The building is stunning and I enjoyed wandering round the exhibits. I didnt see much information, but then I was not really bothered. The cafe looked delicious, although we didnt have time to eat in there. A lovely hour spent inside and made even better... More

We've just spent the morning here with our three young children. It was great. A really old-fashioned museum building brought right up to the 21st century by a recent and huge overhaul. Some fascinating exhibits. Our children (from 2 - 10) loved it. More
