Built 1898 closed 1935 the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway reopened in 2004 and now takes visitors along a mile of track from Woody bay Station towards Parracombe. This first stretch takes in unspoiled views across the Exmoor landscape towards the Heddon Valley and the Bristol Channel beyond, and provides a great little trip out for all the family, a nice... more

Near Lynton & Lynmouth, the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway have a quaint station at Woody Bay. Great welcome, a lovely little train ride to Killington Lane and back with knowledgable staff. Excellent, well run little railway and lovely cream teas too! more
