This being the first time we have used brittany ferries, we were very impressed, and thought it put other ferry companys to shame,we went as foot passangers from plymouth to roscoff and the service was excellent, Cabin clean, with all you need, good reasonably priced food cooked breakfast was I think £4.75, and desserts £2.20. Outside seating area on the... More

We sailed from Plymouth to Bilbao on the Cap Finistere. We had a deluxe cabin which was nice especially the breakfast in the cabin each morning but the ship was tiny for such a long crossing. There was very little to do, the only hot food was on deck 10 for pizza and chips otherwise it was the restaurant as... More

Dear ‘Grindlehop’, Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments. I think you must have been travelling from Portsmouth as our Sunday sailing from Plymouth is to Santander. Unless you are travelling with a pet or special assistance is needed, it is only necessary to arrive at the port to check-in 45 minutes before the sailing is due... More

The Portsmouth/Bilbao route (Cap Finistere) is a remarkably enjoyable way to get to/from northern Spain. The large cabins for two are very comfortable and we slept well overnight. The ship is easy to get about. The staff were uniformly excellent - committed to their work, patient and helpful. It is not a huge ship, with plenty of commercial traffic and... More

Not our first trip with Brittany Ferries but our first in the refurbished Cap Finistere. Original boat from Santander to Portsmouth cancelled because of storms in The Bay of Biscay. Brittany Ferry staff support excellent! Re booked on Cap Finistere. It was a rough crossing but all the staff on board were fantastic. What a pleasure to have that sort... More

Brittany Ferry's, I believe started out as a farmers cooperative wanting to export their produce to the UK, it has grown into a sizeable ferry company with several crossings across the channel and to Spain. The Plymouth to Roscoff crossing operates throughout the year (goes dead in Jan), they have a monopoly on this western channel route, so prices are... More

I booked an overnight crossing to France from Plymouth with my brother for his birthday. We both love Brittany Ferries and France, food and wine! The food on board is good with lots of choice. I enjoy the starters selection, just enough when you are eating fairly late due to the time of the crossing. The cabins are usually clean... More

good service but the Spain trips are not very convenient, although I have used for France the dates of Spanish sailings are not easy to do a mini break due to long gaps between sailings. Good food on board and new ships are great as old ones were a bit shoddy More

Dear ‘nonny 21’ Thank you for posting your recent review. I am sorry you did not find the sailings to Spain convenient for you. It is not clear if you booked a Mini-cruise or a Mini-break when you sailed with us. Our service to Spain on the Pont-Aven operates on a triangular rotation with the ship sailing from Plymouth on... I travelled on the same crossing as the below reviewer and had a completely different experience whilst encountering some of the same issues!? We drove to santander not knowing where the ferry was as our sat nav had let us down but it was very well sign posted and we found it easily. Got to the check-in and also found... More
