Took the overnight crossing outbound to Roscoff and daytime return on this relatively new ferry. It was smaller than expected but reasonably well thought out. As previously mentioned the only downside is the lack of dining restaurant but the self service was good. A new ship so not surprisingly the inside two-berth en-suite cabin, on the eighth floor, was in good condition. 'Snug' rather than roomy but not a problem. Impressive shower pressure. Catering OK, neither expensive or cheap. Well done, BF. more

I'm in shock! the fast ferry service from Portsmouth to Caen and Cherbourg to Portsmouth was a godsend in terms of time saving and convenience but be warned; go during school holidays at your peril!.
