This is an excellent place to have a stroll, it is safe for children to play, it is very good for skateboards, skates and bicycles. There are seats all around the tarmacked area and there is a large grassed area. The lighthouse is easily accessible all in all a nice place to be.

My wife and I found ourselves in Plymouth by chance, and we were amazed by what a great city it is for pedestrian tourists. We especially enjoyed Plymouth Hoe, which is the main attraction in Plymouth. Right on the ocean, with many sights to see, we spent two days walking around and enjoyed every minute of it.

A great way to see the whole of the Plymouth area from one vantage point with an interesting commentary on the history and development of the area. We went on at 10:00 on a clear Friday morning - no queues. There are reduced fares for senior citizens,
