oldest attended synagogue in the western world, not much to see from the outside but if you knock on the door sometimes you can be shown around!!

Hidden in the centre of Plymouth, this little known piece of Plymouth history is well worth a visit. Look out for open days or ask the Rabbi if its possible to look in and see this tiny synagogue. The ark was salvaged from the Devonport synagogue which was destroyed in the blitz.

Shown around by a member of the congregation a couple of years ago. Fascinating in every way. Fantastic and miraculous that it survived the blitz.

The oldest Ashkenazi Synagogue in the English speaking world. In constant use since 1762. Spared during the blitz. A beautiful spiritual place.
