Built in the late 1850s as the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Plymouth and the seat of he only Bishop of Plymouth. This is a simple limestone structure with a narrow spire and occupies the higher ground in northern Stonehouse amidst some elegant and some run down early Victorian terraces.
