Excellent location. Stayed at the weekend with other couples. £20 parking Front rooms you can hear traffic. noise, if you are a light sleeper i sugest you ask for a room away from the front of the hotel,. evening meal took ages to serve, when it did arrive, no vegetables. The hotel is kept clean inside and the service is fast, efficient despite having a wedding on during our stay the hotel staff still maintained high service standards at all times. all i can say is "absolutely ridiculous service" i once stayed at this supposed to be 5 star hotel,more like a 3 star hotel. it was run buy teenagers who are still in nappies, the service was slow,the tea was stoned cold,and the buffet looked like it had been in the fridge for weeks. of course im talking about the... ww both looked at this hotel 1st, but to charge a guest 20 quid to park a car its a joke, I mean we all dont mind paying for a quality room, but at these prices you could at least give free parking, so the De vere royal lost out, but we both won as the Cumberland was fantastic, and... More

Absolutely the best hotel for a long while. Knocks spots off the other cheaper hotels. Excellent value for money clean with superb service second to none for that real English seaside hotel you have ever dreamed of staying in.
