How they can justify the price they charge i haveno idea. Please stay away from this poorly put together so called museum, might of been ok 25 years ago but very very amatuerish and poorly put together. Plastic toys nailed to walls, hot and sweaty. How the fire people allow them to pack the people in especially on a wet... more

Unbelievably bad and very overpriced. Most of the exhibits had a very home made / amateur feel about them, despite having to pay £25 for the family to get in. Can't think what they are spending the money on. Certainly not on air conditioning. The upstairs rooms were like a sauna, despite it being a cold, wet day. One of... more

Visited as a treat for our son who is 5 years old and what a shock. The admission price was not the shock, but the complete lack of content was! There was little to entertain a 5 year old and this 'educated' parent did his best! Believe me, at over £17.00 I tried to get the most out of the... more

A very rude man on the counter took £31 for my family to enter into what can only be described as a very old school. The walls have toy Dinosaurs nailed onto the walls and a few pictures on the wall. There are some buttons to press and boxes for kids to put there hands in to feel things. There... more

We have just returned from a trip to Dorset, which was lovely with one glaring exception. The Dinosaur Museum in Dorchester is without a doubt the worst museum I have been to and after 20 years of teaching youngsters and having my own child, I have been to a fair few. It is shabby, poorly presented (plastic toys screwed to the... more

I echo exactly the statements of all previous writers on this museum, apart from the one that gave it top marks - opinion of course which I am completely respectful of, but with respect, have you ever been to a museum before? If so your expectations of things must be very low. £5 too expensive per ticket, no up-keep, horrendous... more

Excellent very educational, very enjoyable. Spent the whole morning there. Chidren really loved it. As with all subjects parents must be willing to help and encourage their children ,and not just leave them to run about. We all look forward to visiting again. more

Truely awful. Its simply the interior of a medium sized house with a scattering of plastic manequins dressed as fossil hunters. There are a couple of models of dinosaurs - maybe 5 - two of which were made of anyglipta over a wire frame. theres also one that was a costume on a very old episode of Dr Who -... more

I don't know how these people can justify charging £17 odd entrance fee for a family of three to what is a large 3 bedroom house with plastic toys for artefacts, especially when the natural history museum is free!! If you ever contemplate going here, take my advice and use the money you were going to spend here on the... more

A ridiculously overpriced (£9.50 for an adult)attraction that is well worth avoiding. Several small rooms with poorly designed poster work spread around the walls. Extremely difficult to see anything in comfort when it's busy. My children were disappointed after all the hyped advertising had convinced them they were going to see something fantastic. There doesn't seem to be much of... more
