A proper 'school trip' castle to wander around! We visited on a weekday when there were lots of school visits and thoroughly enjoyed ear-wigging the narrative, we learnt loads! A good morning out, especially if weather fine, not so good I'd imagine if it's wet...

We had good weather which means we benefited from goof views. The Castle is a good visit and interesting, great fun for kids to hide in the ruins for a tricky game of Hide and Seek. As a couple it was interesting but a bit on the expensive side for what time we spend there. Thankfully the weather was good...

If you are in Dorset this is a must. Take the steam train from Norden for a fantastic view and when you finally get there you can feel the history. I find it difficult to believe when you look at position of the castle how anyone was able to breech its walls. Cromwell has a lot to answer for.

This castle is located on top of the hill so you will need to be ready for a climb but its worth it. Its wonderful to see what is left of this great castle, surely worth to visit.

we walked from Swanage across the ridge and you can see the castle from afar as you approach, it's majestic. Excellent National Trust tea shop with views from the garden of the castle.

I have visited Corfe Castle many times over the past 40 years. It has been much better since the National Trust took it over.
