Had a lovely day out to Blickling Hall last week. What a amazing house and beautiful gardens - extremely well run ...and with just about everything thought of! One of the loveliest 'stately homes' I've visited. The library (esp the ceiling) is to die for and the grounds are wonderful - not too formal but somehow just what you'd want them to be. Every now & then you find an unexpected statue or piece of sculpture, and the huge ancient sprawling oak tree is worth the visit alone.... more
