We visited this Zoo in April 2009. The Zoo is a lovely place to visit with nice grounds and lots of good exhibits. Banham Zoo might be in the middle of nowhere but it has much to commend it. Family-friendly,we were pleasantly surprised by the free train that takes you on a tour of the zoo. Unlike what LLcoolJ said, There are giraffes at the Zoo. Its a great place to take the kids. Tons of animals to see, we really enjoyed it there. Food was pretty good also. Takes you hours to walk around the park, Make a day of it, if not there wont be enough time to see everything! more
Not an elephant or giraffe to be found, but instead lots of different animals like the red pandas. They were lovely. It was a very wet day when we went but there was lots of indoor things to do and the rain didnt spoil the day. more
