If you're bored with the same old shops on the same old streets, this is for you. Quirky shops and cafes selling everything from vinyl records and vegetarian shoes, to teapots and plants. Go to gawp or to buy but go.

Walk round The North Laines if you are interested in design and food. Your senses will be awakened. No matter what you may think of some of the offerings you will certainly be stirred into thought. It's noisy, narrow, crowded and exciting. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to linger and people watch. Try it.

Had some lousy overpriced meal from a snooty place with little reason to be snooty but plenty of places to sit outside and drink wine in. Love the shops.
