This must have been a fun ride in it's day. It is an interesting piece of history but dont go out your way to visit.
We could get the bus but this is so much more fun for the kids to get into Brighton from Rottingdean where we live....makes a day out in Brighton more like a holiday. Only hassle is folding the pushchair and wondering where I would put it if the train is full?...perhaps they could have a trailer carriage on the back..out... More
Definitely a must do Brighton experience. A famous old train, now run by Brighton Council. We travel on it regularly. Never seems over-crowded. The end station at the Marina is actually rather a walk (not a very pleasant one) from the Marina itself; we prefer to break our journey at the mid-way point where there is an excellent playground, crazy... Litle electric railway running along the seafront connecting the town with the harbour and marina.
It's rather fun to hop aboard, particularly if you want to go to ASDA and live on James st and are a little lazy in the walking department. Great fun. Check for running dates as it is not all year. The walk ton the Marina at the far end is a bit scruffy but worth it. Pity the train doesn't run out to the Marina on nice sunny evevnings
