I went to Colchester zoo a few days ago with my partner, who'd never been before, but I've been around 30 times before, but I’ve never been on a rainy day, which surprisingly was very enjoyable. Colchester zoo will take about 5 hrs to go round if you visit everything. its nicely laid out with plenty of food outlets , and some reasonable,we had a huge bacon n sausage bap for 1.60 ! or take a picnic and stop for a good lunch n rest your legs cos its a bit tiring. There are a few... more

When me and my family went out to colchester zoo for the day we were lucky because the weather was great. When we first got there we had to wait in a que for a while which was quite frustrating in the heat. But after that it was fantastic, the park is very clean and the animals are very exciting... more

Colchester zoo may not be the most famous zoo in Britain, but it is surely one of the best. Certainly if you are going to Colchester with children, this place is a must-visit. Hi! We went to Colchester zoo in February Half term and we had an excellent day. Even though we arrived at 9:30am the car park was filling up fast. So I would advise that in holidays you go early.
