We enjoyed visiting Chedworth Roman Villa. It is well maintained and the audio guides (on ipods) are interesting and informative. The staff in the shop were friendly and there are some mosaics that are in great condition. Plus you can see the workings of the baths and steam rooms. Note it is not really suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, and... More

A wonderful time lost in time................... Whow the Romans were at least cleaner in their bodily habits right down to a cold plunge!!!!!!! to finish bathtime. ALL SEASONS OF THE YEAR IN THE UK......................... 1,500 years ago the craftmanship the sheer 'ahead of time' the age they were in beggers belief.... Just makes you wonder how backward our century is... More

Hidden away, off the beaten track. Very interesting to find such a place so far west in England. Take the recorded tour its full of interesting facts and details. Its fantastic how advanced they were so long ago and keen on keeping clean. It kept 3 of us 4 adults busy for a good hour. As members the cost was... More

This is really between average and very good - If you are not keen on the Romans then this is not your thing, if you read "Roman" novels or are a fan of Time Team then this will interest you for its possibilities. The site is still under development but they are doing a good job so far - a... More

We visited Chedworth Roman Villa on Sunday as part of the National Trust weekend so thankfully we didn't have to pay. The access road to the car park was very narrow with cars parked down one side which made passing oncoming cars impossible. The car park itself was small with no marked bays so cars were parked all over the... More

It is quite a drive down narrow country lanes to reach the villa and there isn't a great deal of parking there. However once you are safely inside there is a lovely modern facility with welcoming staff, a cafe, bathrooms and a gift shop. You are given a free audio-tour so that you can wander around at your own pace... More

We visited this property on a showery April day,but were delighted with the experience. The National Trust have just completed a multimillion pound project stretching over 2 years to enable visitors to enjoy their visit to this out of the way site that has been in N.T.hands for many years..The new facilities have only been open 2 or 3 weeks... If you are a fan of the period it is well worth the journey to Chedworth. The road signs as you believ you are getting very near are somewhat misleading and parking was a problem because the field of overflow parking was too wet to use. The 'villa' building that is intact now is Victorian but the mosaics and other... More

The Roman villa is one of National Trust properties. The new visitor centre is modern which includes a cafe, shop and toilets. A newly completed wooden building is where you will find the Roman mosaics. The design of the building has been done very well. The walkways inside provide a good view over all the remains. Worth a visit. More

On a chilly but sunny April day we spent a good couple of hours wandering round the site taking in the wonders of the site. The mosaics were beautiful and the site well kept. For those chosing not to avail themselves of the audio guides some better information boards would be useful but other than that I have no complaints. More
