The Rococo gardens are ok, but it is smaller than expected (even if you do the nature trail etc). We were disappointed to find that picnics weren't allowed (especially as you pay before you see the sign telling you this), as we would have enjoyed that and there was a nice lawn that could have been ideal. Instead we ended... More

Thank you for your review. We were sorry to hear you were disappointed with some aspects of your visit. We do provide a picnic area with tables by our car park but have always steered away from allowing picnics in the actual grounds for fear of impinging on the enjoyment of the garden for other visitors. We are extremely concerned... More

Not really that much there to explore. Nice enough, but it doesn't constitute a morning or afternoon out. More

So worth a visit, at the right time February for the snowdrops. But not too exciting for me on other visits. More

Rococo Gardens is just a short walk from the chocolate box pretty village of Painswick. The village is a quaint mix of local honey coloured stone buildings, mostly dating from the 17 &18th century , at the centre is the ancient parish church, which itself is surrounded by 99 beautifully manicured elderly yew trees. So Rococo Gardens has a lot... More

Although the gardens are mostly dormant at this time of year, you can really see the potential for the spring and summer. Best thing at this time of the year is the snowdrops, thousands of them! More

Peaceful, beautiful just a joy to be in. They say it takes about an hour but somehow we managed to be there, including visit to cafe for just over 2 hours. More

It has been a while since we have visited gardens that are not owned by the National Trust or English heritage. Even in early spring there was plenty to look at in the grounds and some thought has gone in to making the woodland trail entertaining. The mazes are amusing. With tea and cake to finish, this makes a good... More

This hidden gem is well worth a visit in February to see the spectacular show of snowdrops here. It was peaceful, not many people there so it was a treat to walk round the gardens in peace! Nice cafe as well. More

I had really been looking forward to going to Rococo to see the snowdrops. Unfortunately, the gardens just didn't cut the mustard, I'm afraid. The gardens aren't very big and aren't very interesting. Me and my partner just looked at each other to say "is that it?". The only saving grace was the cafe, which produced some lovely scones! Definitely... More

A thoroughly enjoyable garden with some quirky features and close to a very pleasant town. Both worth a visit. More
